ANOTHER DREAM BECOMING A REALITY
Currently are working on a total one of a kind custom car called the Panache. It is inspired after the 1995 Chrysler Concept Atlantic and early designs of the Bugatti. The vehicle will be completed and ready for shows and competition in 2025.

Years Of Experience Has Produced Quality Workmanship
The story of NASTY AUTO begins in 1954, when Garry Smith rolled out his very first custom build “a fresh‑off‑the‑lot Ford Meteor Convertible transformed into something the streets had never seen. Pontiac chrome, Oldsmobile French tail lights, shaved handles, an electric trunk release, and a triple‑carb intake…” Garry wasn’t just modifying a car; he was rewriting what a Meteor could be.
The results spoke for themselves. That Meteor didn’t just turn heads, it collected trophies, respect, and a reputation that followed Garry for decades.
By 1957, he was hungry for a new challenge. The Meteor found a new home, and in its place arrived a 1929 Ford Model A Coupe. Garry tore into it with the same fearless creativity – out went the original engine, in went a Chevy V8, and the body was channeled low and mean. It was pure attitude on wheels.
Back then, all of this was just a passion project for Garry. A hobby fueled by curiosity, grit, and a love for metal. Years of successful ventures eventually opened the door for something bigger. That spark from the 1950s evolved into a full‑fledged return to automotive artistry, paving the way for what would become NASTY AUTOMOBILE INC.

Nasty Auto has spent years mastering the craft, combining formal training with hands‑on experience in metal shaping, automotive restoration, and coach building. Our team has learned directly from some of the most respected names in the field, including Lazze, Fay Butler, Ron Fournia, Wray Snieder, and Benjamin Starr. Our background in Total Quality Management meshed perfectly with the craftsmanship of these pioneers, cementing the principles that guide Nasty Auto’s pursuit of excellence.
Our journey began with the restoration and transformation of a 1966 Chrysler Windsor, a defining project that set the tone for everything that followed. You can explore the Windsor’s evolution in our Project Gallery, where its craftsmanship and character are fully on display.
Today, our work spans a wide range of custom creations. This includes handcrafted interiors, engine and driveline swaps, reshaped body lines, redesigned lighting with full LED systems, and structural reinforcement engineered to handle serious power.
Every stage of the process is completed in house, ensuring precision, consistency, and results that stand out wherever they go.
