Since opening our Car Design Studio in 2019, we’ve had one goal in mind, creating unique and original designs with the craftsmanship and quality to last generations.  

Realizing these type of endeavours can get expensive, our accounting control process is designed to keep our customers financially aware of all costs during the build.

We are currently creating a one of a kind Automobile, scheduled completion is February 2025.

We are located on a private family compound 50 miles north of Toronto located in the Mono Hills.
Our design studio work environment is state of the art.  We expanded by 3000 sq ft in 2018. 

We do most of our panel designed and fabricated on English wheels with attachments for metal shaping of any kind.  We also design and create using planishing, Pullmax, beading machines and Hammer and Dollie.  We take great pride and the time necessary for our Precise Panel Creating.

Our Story
In 1954 my father, Garry Smith, created his first custom car which was a brand new 54 Ford Meteor convertible.  His customization includes Pontiac Chrome, Oldsmobile French tail lights, removal of door handles and truck lock converted to electric and triple carb intake manifold.  All of this customization paid off with Garry winning many awards over the years. 

In 1957 Garry sold the Meteor and purchased a 1929 Ford Model A Coupe. He proceeded to remove the original engine and replaced it with a Chevy V8 along with a Channeled Body.

























But car restoration was just a hobby for Garry back in those early days.  He had many years for successful business ventures which allowed us to venture back into automotive creation and restoration with the start Nasty Automobile Inc.

After a few years of rest and relaxation and a few more of world travel, Garry and I set our interests, energy and time into learning as much as we could about metal shaping, automotive restoration and coach building.  We have been professionally trained by metal shaping legends such as, Lazze, Fay Butler, Ron Fournia, Wray Snieder, and Benjamin Starr.  Our many years of Total Quality Management fell right into line with these Automotive Artists.   
By 2018 we had the technical and principle training we needed to start the practical.  
Our first project was the restoration and customization of my personal 1966 Chrysler Windsor. 
We have included before and after photos of this project.
This total restoration and customization project included custom upholstered interior, engine and drive line swap, reshaping the body, redesigning all the lights with LED’s and structurally strengthening the body integrity to be able to handle a 500 hp engine.  We customized the project by merging a 1966 Chrysler Windsor with a 1968 Chrysler 300.  All these tasks were completed in-house with a stunning final result.

Currently are working on a total one of a kind custom car called the Panache.  It is inspired after the 1995 Chrysler Concept Atlantic and early designs of the Bugatti.  The vehicle will be completed and ready for shows and competition in 2024.

We pledge to create the best of automobile art where the owner is the curator of a family heirloom to be treasured by future generations.

THE CREATION OF OUR COMPANY NAME
We are often asked where did the name Nasty Automobile come from? 
Garry had purchased an Aston Martin DB9 after the sale of our logistics company.  My mother was so excited about it that when she told her mother she said, "we just got a Nasty Martin”.

We thought what a great description for an Aston Martin so Garry purchased a license plate lettered, “Nasty 007”.
He had so many positive remarks that we thought it would make a great name for our new Automotive Company,,, hence Nasty Automobile Inc.
